Cosplay & Historic Dresses

AC Odyssey Kassandra

In the newest game of the Assassin’s Creed series, you can either play Kassandra or her brother Alexios. Both have a bunch of different clothing that can be found. Therefore, it was not easy at all to choose an outfit to create as a cosplay for Gamescom 2019. I decided to make the Master’s Artemis Set. Thanks to Rainer for taking the photos!

There are a lot of traditional hunting elements included in the design, for example antlers and beading looking like it is made from bones. In addition, Kassandra wears red war paint. You can also spot small golden deers on the belt. All is made by myself, except the shoes, of course. By the way, I took a lot of photos during the making of the project, that can be seen on a separate page.

Normally, a leather top would serve as the cosplay’s base layer, but I forgot to bring it to Gamescom, so I had to wear a black bikini instead. Luckily, it can’t be seen due to the overlapping layers, such as the half-sided tunic, that I had to paint first. On the other side, Kassandra wears some kind of protective leather parts over the shoulder. However, most of the outfit clearly focuses on freedom of movement. The colors are very bright and most parts, such as the double-layered skirt and the hanging part of the belt, show elaborate patterns, that I painted on with brushes and pencils made for fabric.
