This was my first dress. I started it some months after I created the armor for Brunhild. The design is based on Morgaines orange dress from “The Mists of Avalon”, a TV series based on the novel by marion Zimmer Bradley. Therefore, it is not medieval, but a fantasy dress or cosplay with a small train. In addition, it is machine-sewn and closes with hooks and eyes. I still love it, but never had a chance to wear it except for the photoshooting. Obviously, I changed the color and used a different trim. This is a rare example of me using a commercial pattern (Butterick). I do not know the exact fibers of the fabric, but as far as I can remember, it is a cotton-linen-mix.
