Marie Pauline Bonaparte – Empire Dress
This dress is similar to the dresses worn at different courts at about 1800-1810. It consists of two main dresses. The underdress is made of black cotton and has a simple cut and fitting, while the outer one is made of violet velvet. I used fabric color and beads to create the ornamentation round the neckline. In addition, the dress has a train of about half a yard, which made a twill lining of the upper part necessary.
